The town is now a popular holiday resort, with several beaches and lakeside fish restaurants.  The ramparts of the medieval castle offer pleasant views of Lake Trasimeno.  Superb 17th century frescoes of mythological scenes by Salvio Savini decorate the ceilings of the Palazzo Comunale.  A short ferry ride will bring visitors to either of  the two islands on the lake.
